CRESCENDO 2019: Together We Rise
Friday, November 8, 2019
Crescendo is one of Kansas City’s premier arts events, hosted by the UMKC Conservatory at the beautiful Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The event has raised millions for student scholarships with support from generous donors and under the guidance of the Friends of the Conservatory. “I never thought I would get to study opera at a conservatory and you helped make that dream come true,” says scholarship recipient Nick (M.M. vocal performance).
Honorary Chairmen Julie Quirin and Teri Miller and Mark Sappington and David McGee and Co-Chairmen Marylou Turner and Michael Henry invite you to join them at this year’s Crescendo on Friday, November 8.
A fast-paced performance showcasing the talented students of the UMKC Conservatory, Crescendo delights audiences year after year. Held in the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, this exciting prism concert features more than 250 student and faculty performers. Jazz, opera, theater, dance and music fill Helzberg Hall in one of Kansas City’s premier arts events.
After more than 20 years, Crescendo has raised millions of dollars for student scholarships, through the generosity of individuals, corporations and community sponsors.
